Start with your floor colour – understand the undertones as this affects the colour on your wall

2. OUTSIDE WALL COLOUR SELECTION

Start with your roof colour and your paving / tiles as your wall colour will need to work with these to create harmony for your outside look

Finding the right hue for you

Grab an A4 piece of white paper.
Using the brush in your tester kit, paint a large block of colour leaving a 5cm border all around so that you have a white border around your paint.
Always paint two coats of your colour to get a better reflection of the final colour (breathe – allow the paint to dry between coats).
Use some Prestik to place your colour sample onto your walls where you can move it around at different times of the day and night and see how it shows up in different light.
You can fold your paper and hold it to your floor to see if it brings out the beauty of your floor.
Take a few days to see which colour works best for you and gives you that warm feeling every time you see it.
